Tiny Smiles Half Marathon

I had been thinking about running the Tiny Smiles Half Marathon most of the week as a training race for next month's Shamrock'n Half Marathon. Additionally, I knew that if I ran a half before Shamrock'n that Shamrock'n would be my 13th half which feels like it is a special thing.

I knew my pace wasn't going to be great, but I did want it to be reasonable. I used Runner's World Race Time Predictor with my time from last weekend's Super Sunday Run, and it predicted a time of 1:58:47 at a pace of 9:04 per mile. I had hoped to actual hit 9 minutes per mile. According to my Garmin GPS watch, my average pace was 9:03 while the race results showed 9:01 (my watch had the race as a bit short).

I did encounter a few problems getting to the race (and home) due to flooding with all of the rain we've had recently. In the future, if it's been raining a lot, I probably should ensure my route to the race is clear.
